By popular demand (bullying, peer pressure, poking etc) I'm excited to bring you the first ever official #Korptober prompt list. KORPTOBER RULES: 1) Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want). 2) Post it* 3) Hashtag it with #korptober and #korptober2021 (and #KorpAcademy) 4) Repeat Note: you can do it daily, or go the half-marathon route and post every other day, or just do the 5K and post once a week. What ever you decide, just be consistent with it. Korptober is about growing and improving and forming positive habits, so the more you’re consistent the better. That's it! Now go make something beautiful. *Post it on any social media account you want or just post it on your refrigerator. The point is to share your art with someone. :)
...and don't forget kids, all art is theft but if you do copy someone else, credit them! [Rules inspired by Inktober] 😬

We had a blast in 8 O'clock Club drawing this wrinkly old fella inspired by the work of Dee Dee Kid.

I took a trip to Southsea to see the latest installation by My Dog Sighs. Housed in a derelict building where over the last 18 months he has been adding his Quiet Little Voices. Here are some photos I took but get a better view in the walkthrough at the bottom of the post. While I was down in Southsea I got a chance to check out Farks new place The Corner Collective. I've been wanting to visit ever since hearing about it when Fark came up to Peterborough for Korpfest. A venue on the high street with resident artists studios out back and exhibitions out front. I wasn't disappointed, its everything you'd want in a creative hub. Show some love and go follow The Corner Creative and its resident artists. Lets not forget Soak who put on an excellent exhibition.
Recently I've released a couple of NFT pieces on HEN. Although I do have concerns about the environmental impact I also think this will be part of our future. I've decided to go for a collectible look sticking with black on brown as a nod to the real world paste ups where these pieces started.
I got a little Arts Council funding which has allowed me time and resources to develop my creativity. Most recently I completed this portrait with the help of Irony. Not my usual style by a long shot but a very interesting and enjoyable process with practical experience using priority lines and a scribble grid.
The Tiki workshops were amazing (even if I do say so myself). Join the Korp Academy here.
