In 2013 I was invited down to Southsea for Head Jam. Check out the video.
To celebrate the birth of 3 new Korpworms today I have a full hyperlapse of Korpworm 29 being created.
Korpworm 27 is in amongst some buildings I used to draw years ago, I like the fact that it toys with the expected scale of the worms. The empty buildings also echo the feeling that the worms exist in a post apocalyptic world.
Korpworm 28 is playing with a feather which they like to adorn themselves with in order to prove how self aware they are.
Korpworm #29 has lost it's feathers, there are tufts on the shoulders were the windswept feathers have been torn away.
EDIT: Tags are now available to bid on. Click here for more details Facebook.com/TagTheWallsAuction.
Tag the Walls is an urban art exhibition happening in Gloucester from the 12th December to help raise money for the 2015 Gloucester Paint Jam. Featuring 25 of the UK's top street artists who have all donated artwork in the form of luggage tags which will be framed, exhibited and then sold. The exhibition is being organised by Beastie and held at the Gloucester Guildhall (full address below) on the 12th December with a DJ kicking off proceedings from 8pm. Not sure if Beastie is planning to open up the sale of the tags on line so feel free to contact him via his new Facebook profile or page if there is anything you like. If you live in or near Gloucester then take a look at the event page for more details.
I've done 3 tags but one will remain secret so you'll have to get to the exhibition to see it. With the other two I captured the creative process with Hyperlapse to give you a little look at how they are born.
Back in the day I used to cut portraits, these are some of my favourites...
Scroll to the bottom for a time-lapse video of a korptrait being painted and a link to more. If you would like to commission a portrait for Christmas get in touch now.
The best collection of my urban portraits can be found on Flickr.
