In a change to the usual format Battle Lines 6 consisted of 4 artists from 2 tattoo studios going head to head (to head to head) so instead of 2 artists collaborating on one large board each artist got their own A2 sheet of paper to draw on. Battle Lines is fun but it can be a bit of a pressure cooker especially if you start making a few mistakes. Look carefully in the following photos and you may see the start of the issue that left one artist (allegedly) tearing up his work and walking out.
Despite the controversy Battle Lines 6 was still a great night with delish food from Resist Vegan Kitchen, free art from Process and awesome tunes from Curs.
So did you spot the mistake? Check out the drip on photo 5...ouch!!
If that's not put you off and you fancy having a go at Battle Lines you just need to send them a message to register your interest...good news is if you're aged between 13 and 19 there is a youth event too so you don't have to slow down for us old timers!!
