Had a great time painting at Urban Culture Coventry. Although the main event was in Fargo Village me and Kiwi descended on the City Centre to paint in the middle of the Pride march. More photos from the rest of Urban Culture Coventry to follow...
I was immensely proud of how the Battle Lines crew represented Peterborough at the Tamworth Urban Arts Festival over the weekend. I was joined on the boards by Battle Lines creator Cur5 and Battle Lines artists Process, Arran Macphail, Lee Mason, CurtisCreationz and making his street art debut was Simon Benton. Here are a selection of my favourite photos from the day. Despite arriving to find out that someone else had already started painting on our boards this quickly turned into good news when I spotted it was RIP Smith and Kiwi (surprise). Always great to catch up with RIP even though I only understand about 50% of what he says due to him being proper northern. Battle Lines CrewGotta say a big thanks to Vic and everyone who helped put on the jam, its the first time I've been and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Here are some photos from the rest of the day.
Had a great day painting on giant records for the Pie & Vinyl Record Store Day Paint Jam. Keeping me company were Winniemmay, My Dog Sighs and M-one. Big thanks to Pie & Vinyl for organising the event and Play Dead for inviting me down. HAND PAINTED RECORDS AVAILABLE FROM PLAY DEADThese three and three more are available exclusively from the Play Dead gallery in Southsea.
I painted a suitcase and it went on its travels. Here are the results. These photos are from the owner of Take a Butchers gallery in Dusseldorf. Check out her photos and gallery on the following links.
Since being told I would be losing my old studio and the end of last year I've been on the lookout for a new place to art and as a result I moved into the Undercroft in Hampton. Its a fantastic space, large enough to grow and a little rough around the edges to suit the way I paint. Check out these photos from Viphotography. Gotta say a huge thanks to everyone that supported the search from Metal for their advice to Simon at The Ostrich for his sheer willingness to find somewhere but especially Keely Mills for letting me take up residency at the Eastern Angles theatre space at The Undercroft. The plan is to eventually hold a paint jam and some workshops and artist talks here so if that is something that floats your boat please get in touch using the button below. At the moment the studio is open every Friday between 9 and 3 for you to take a look at the art on display, check out the apparel store or just hang out with coffee.
Over the last few months I've been producing a limited edition of 20 blue-eyed Stoners. The first set of 5 were released and sold on the preview night of In Quiet Desperation with the second set of 5 released on my website and selling out within 15 minutes. The final 10 will be available to email subscribers only so if you are after getting your hands on one then sign up for my email. It only takes a few seconds and is your last chance to get hold of a blue-eyed Stoner. Only a few days left of the In Quiet Desperation show at Play Dead. Huge thanks to bombshell.style for these great photos.
Battle Lines IV was the first time for a team battle. It saw me partner up with Amanda Rigby while Process Smith joined forces with Arran Macphail. The Big Rig and I met up a few weeks before the event to discuss tactics and we decided to recreate a Christmas dinner scene with a twist. Some saw it as controversial but the Krampus worm was intended respectfully. What do you think, did we overstep the mark? Battle Lines is always a great night out with music, food and art but this was special and as ever Tony Nero captured it all on camera which you can see on the slideshow below. Its the last Friday of every month at The Ostrich if you fancy coming along. Search Battle Lines on Facebook and Instagram for more deets. |
